Successful “Peatland Detectives” Year 2025: Students explore Vorarlberg’s peatlands

In the Citizen Science project “Peatland Detectives”, young people are turned into real researchers in the middle of Vorarlberg’s most valuable habitats – the peatlands. More than 50 students from five schools in Vorarlberg were actively involved as „Peatland Detectives” again this year. The project not only promotes scientific skills, but also experience of nature and awareness of nature conservation.

Launch press conference

On the occasion of this year’s World Wetlands Day, the LIFE AMooRe project was officially launched at a press conference on 1 February 2024 with Federal Minister Gewessler, Director-General Mörth and the provincial councillors Zadra (Vorarlberg), Lackner (Styria) and Rosenkranz (Lower Austria).
